One of the headline tours available at Walt Disney World is the “Keys to the Kingdom Tour”, which allows park visitors to explore some of the history of Walt Disney World and Magic Kingdom, and also have a quick peak behind the curtain and see what it takes to make the world’s most visited theme park tick.
Everyone likes Disney transport, and it works well for situations where you need to get to the parks or don’t have any specific time constraints, but in some situations, you’ll need another transport option. We use Lyft for our trips.
We recently (ok, not that recently we’ve been busy so taken a while to edit!) went to Copenhagen and Malmö for Eurovision and while in Copenhagen thought we’d visit Tivoli Gardens.
Our next resort in our The Good and The Bad journey is Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. This Disney Vacation Club resort is a firm favourite in the view of many a DVC member and cash staying visitor. Our first stay at the resort was in September 2022 during Hurricane Ian, and the resort served us well for our stay, we did find issues, but lets hold off on that at first.
We’re creatures of habit, and yet again we’re travelling to Walt Disney World during September. Our previous trip in September 2022 didn’t really go to plan due to Hurricane Ian hitting towards the end of our stay. Obviously, we’re hoping that our trip will be better this time.
News reporting about Disney has a problem, and nothing has highlighted this more than the recent ‘Lighting Lane Multi Pass’ changes that are coming to Walt Disney World after 24th July.

The Good & The Bad is a series of posts we’ll be creating discussing the upsides and downsides of various resorts, and for our first one we’re choosing our DVC home resort of Riviera. Whilst we may be more than a little bias towards the resort, we do think that there are some minor shortcomings hiding beneath the modern Riviera inspired styling.
It’s been quite a while since we last updated the website, and our YouTube channel has been in hibernation for some time. We’ve had some challenges since the back end of 2023 and early 2024 but we’re now back with some renewed energy!
