The Good & The Bad - Bay Lake Tower

Our next resort in our The Good and The Bad journey is Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. This Disney Vacation Club resort is a firm favourite in the view of many a DVC member and cash staying visitor. Our first stay at the resort was in September 2022 during Hurricane Ian, and the resort served us well for our stay, we did find issues, but lets hold off on that at first.

Good - Location, Location, Location

Does this one really need explaining? This isn’t exclusive to just Bay Lake Tower on its own, as its a shared ‘good’ with the Contemporary in general. Just in front of Bay Lake Tower is a footpath that will take you to the entrance of Magic Kingdom, even taking a leisurely pace you can be walking up to the ticket gates in under 10 minutes. The footpath even has its own security stop so you don’t even have to fight with the larger security queues near the bus station. Out of any resort on property the Contemporary and Bay Lake Tower are the best placed for accessing Magic Kingdom.

The location is a major win for evening parties as well; Imagine heading out of a Mickey’s Not So Scary Haloween Party, or a Disney After Hours party and being able to avoid the long queues at the bus and monorail stations!

You’re sharing the links that the Contemporary have.

Good - Great Restaurants Right Next Door

Bad - Extremely Limited Facilities in the Tower
